Welcome to Applying to College, the place to discuss the skills and techniques needed to write great college application essays and succeed at college interviews.
My background is in television producing and writing. I know the secrets to a good interview, and I love to teach people how to unlock their unique point of view and writing style. For ten years I also volunteered as an alumni interviewer for my alma mater, Cornell University, and when I saw that many students hadn’t gotten the help they needed to make a great impression (and let’s face it, one chance is all you get), I started First Impressions College Consulting and my blog, Applying to College.
